Tour exclusively for British Heritage Magazine. All are welcome to join.
Combine the majestic scenery of the famous Lake District, the softly rolling
hills and fields of beautifully undiscovered Silverdale & the Lune
Valley. Add to this two nights stay in Central London and a visit to the
Lancaster & its castle, still owned by Her Majesty Elizabeth II..
The mountains & scenery that inspired William Wordsworth, Beatrix
Potter, John Ruskin & others await you on this walking vacation of
England's North Country.
"...In the days that followed I lived in an ecstasy of delight. We walked
entranced along the valleys and lakesides. I was bewitched by everything.
The natives ..and their smiling faces reflected an inner peace and contentment
as though their serene surroundings had permeated their philosophy of
life." Alfred Wainwright (author and lake district fell-wanderer 1907--1988
from his autobiography published on his 80th birthday.
